The installation included a 20 minute performance on the middle of the space. This part of the installation combines performance, video and sculpural qualities. A performer lays on the floor wrapped inside a silk sleeping bag. A projection of silkworms is layered on top of the silk material.
With subtle movements, the performer mimics the movements of the worms. The result is an uncanny presence that blurred the boundaries between the human and the non-human.
Timothy Morton's "Strange Stranger" inspires this performance. The strange stranger is the uncanny realisation of the deep entanglement with "the other".
